Each capital welcomes visitors with an array of historical sights and attractions, as well as their own ‘Old Town’, the hub of each city. Take a walk in the charming Old Town, where you can visit the impressive main university building and the picturesque Town Hall Square. Tartu’s unique energy and rich history offers you a deeper understanding of Estonia’s cultural identity. Tonight you'll stay overnight in Tartu.Take an enjoyable train ride to Riga, with a change of trains in Valga, an approximately journey time of 4 hours. On arrival, make your way to the centrally located hotel for a two night stay.

Just a 20 minute train ride takes you to this seaside resort with long beaches stretching along the gulf of Riga. Known for its charming wooden architecture, Jurmala boasts one of Latvia’s largest collections of historic buildings, with 103 national monuments and 295 local landmarks to discover. Whether you enjoy a peaceful walk by the sea, explore the architectural gems, or indulge in fun activities, Jurmala is a delightful spot to relax and enjoy Latvia’s coastal beauty.
Alternatively, head by train to the Gauja National Park, the largest in Latvia. Enhance your city experience further with a visit to the ‘independent republic’ of Uzupis, a bohemian quarter often compared to Paris’ Montmartre. This artistic enclave has its own anthem, constitution, president, and a symbolic guardian - the bronze angel of Uzupis.If time allows, take a short train ride (30 minutes) to the historic town of Trakai. Surrounded by serene lakes and lush forests, Trakai is home to two ancient castles and was once the capital of Lithuania. The highlight is the magnificent Gothic moated castle, perched on an island and accessible by wooden bridges. Trakai’s beauty and rich history make it a stop not to be missed.
