Upon arrival into Keflavik Airport you will pick your car hire - a suitable 4x4 to tackle any of the weather conditions that Iceland might throw at you when you arrive.
You will make your way across to Hotel Ranga, which is roughly a 2 hour drive, and depending on what time you arrive you might have time to stop at some of the sights along the way. Once at Hotel Ranga you can check into your Deluxe Room and spend the rest of the evening relaxing, and looking out for the Northern Lights.It is worth noting that if you have a flight that arrives after 3pm we will suggest having a night in Reykjavik to avoid having to drive in the dark if you are travelling in the height of winter.

Today, you’ll swap the car for an adventure-packed Superjeep tour from Hotel Ranga. Your group will head into Þórsmörk, the Valley of the Thunder God Thor, nestled between the mighty ice caps of Mýrdalsjökull, Tindfjallajökull, and Eyjafjallajökull.
Keep an eye out for Arctic foxes, Iceland’s elusive native mammals. Highlights include a visit to Gígjökull, where you’ll witness the dramatic aftermath of the 2010 Eyjafjallajökull eruption. On your final day, start with an early breakfast before embarking on the Golden Circle route—a must-see in Iceland. Experience the breathtaking views of Gullfoss Waterfall, try and capture the eruptions of Strokkur on camera, and explore the other remarkable sights in this famous region.
Depending on your schedule (ideally, your return flight should be in the late afternoon or evening), you can take a relaxing dip in the Blue Lagoon before heading to the airport.
