ITINERARY

On arrival in Vilnius, you will be met and transferred from the airport to your central hotel by a private car transfer (20 minutes). Check-in to your five star hotel, your base for two nights and take time exploring this compact city at leisure, finding a local restaurant to try the traditional cuisine.

The remainder of the day is at leisure, so you can explore the city further at your own pace. Perhaps visit the charming Church of Saint Anne, pass through the courtyards of Old Town, or drop in to see the old craft workshops.

For something unique and very special, we can also add a hot-air balloon flight over the city, only one of a few cities that this is possible, giving you a totally different perspective on this country's beauty. This is available at either sunrise or sunset.

We have included a 2-hour private city tour, which you can either take this afternoon, or if you prefer, the following day.

The cosmopolitan heart of Latvia, Riga charms visitors with its exquisite Art Nouveau architecture and rich history. Not to be missed is the area Vecriga, otherwise known as the UNESCO listed Old Town, with its charming cobbled streets, remarkable facades and impressive churches. 

If you have time, why not head out of the city centre and explore different areas such as Centrs, not far from the old town and one of the most elegant parts of Riga with fine examples of 19th and 20th century architecture. Or head to Andrejsala, a trendy area on the waterfront, boasting restaurants with some of the best outdoor terraces to enjoy cocktails at sundown.

A private transfer will collect you from the hotel and drive you further north along the coastline, enjoying views over the Gulf of Riga and into Estonia to Tallinn, a journey time of four and a half hours.

You will walk in the historical heart of Tallinn - the Old Town. It used to be divided into two parts: Upper Town, or Toompea and Lower Town. It will be a journey that will teach you about the life of the town's people, their habits, daily living and professions. You'll learn about the goods that were sold on the city's main market the Town Hall Square. In the 13th century this city also became part of Hansa, a trading union. Learn all about the trade that happened here, and also about the mummies and ghosts of the city.
 
Listen to the guide, sharing their knowledge about the historical heart of the city that began developing from a trading city in the Middle Ages to a favourite tourist destination today. You'll walk the cobbled streets of the Old Town and hear about the life of merchants, craftsmen and nobility. What rules they had to obey and where the influence of one legislation stopped and another began.
