After the day travelling, what better way to relax and unwind than soaking in the rooftop hot tub with panoramic views of the night sky, giving you the opportunity to keep watch for the dancing aurora. Your private session will be allocated on arrival and may be on a different day. Each evening from 17.00 the sauna is ready for all guests to use as much or as little as they like during their stay. It’s a very ‘Scandinavian’ thing to do and a wonderful way to relax and feel energised.
Then, time to enjoy the local cuisine with a 3-course evening meal, the perfect way to end your first day in the arctic.Visit the magical ICEHOTEL, the very first and best of its kind. You’ll have time to explore this ice creation and enjoy a Swedish buffet lunch, then marvel at the different sculptures and pieces of art in the original version and the revolutionary ICEHOTEL 365.
Enjoy a 2-course dinner around the crackling fire in the traditional tipi tent located outside the lodge. Then you receive driving instructions and safety information on how to drive a snowmobile before heading off to the top of Mount Ednavaara, offering great views over the Arctic tundra and Abisko mountain range, far from light pollution and the ideal place to keep watch for the magical aurora.
Say goodbye to your hosts and transfer back to Kiruna airport for your onward travel or extend your stay in Swedish Lapland.
