The Inn On The Lake is reached by a scenic thirty five minute transfer upon arrival into Whitehorse. Check in is available from 3, so we recommend arriving early to make the most of your stay in this idyllic wilderness setting.
Upon arrival you will be greeted by your native hosts before a short orientation of the unique timber Inn.
Start your day with freshly prepared coffee and a homemade European-style breakfast. The daily menu features locally sourced produce, cereals, fruits, and freshly baked goods—perfect fuel for a day of adventure.
Your stay at the Inn includes a range of classic Yukon winter activities. Wrap up in the warm winter clothing provided by the lodge before stepping outside to explore the stunning landscape.
Northern Lights
Perched on the edge of Marsh Lake, one of the region’s premier aurora-viewing spots, the lodge offers incredible opportunities to witness the northern lights. Enjoy the show from the warmth of the building, the outdoor hot tub, or while exploring the frozen lake by snowshoe. Watch as the sky shifts from pale green to vibrant reds, pinks, and magnificent yellows.
Snowshoeing
Strap on a pair of snowshoes and set off into the wilderness. Wander across the frozen lake beneath the northern lights or discover your own quiet winter retreat amidst the snow-covered landscape.
Snowmobiling

Ice Fishing
Drill through the thick ice and try your hand at fishing for the famous Yukon trout—an age-old northern tradition.
The traditional way of life in the Yukon was briefly interrupted in 1897 with the discovery of gold that brought an estimated 100,000 stampeders to the area. After scaling the White Pass, the stampeders built rafts to navigate the mighty Yukon river in search of gold rush town Dawson. Discover more about the gold rush at the transportation museum, learning about intrepid stampeders hiking the Chilkoot Trail as well as tales of the people who built the famous Alaska Highway. The nearby Yukon Wildlife Preserve offers the opportunity to witness some of Canada’s most famous creatures including the mighty moose, lynx, arctic fox and mountain goat.
